

Tim Ragan, Principal
Tim Ragan is the principal of CCI and brings a broad range of business management experiences to the company. Tim spent 20 years in Ottawa's high tech companies, including Mitel, Nortel, Newbridge and Alcatel. He started his own strategy consulting firm in 2002 and has since worked with dozens of local and Canadian companies helping them deliver superior business performance.
Bill Caswell, Senior Career Coach
Bill Caswell, B. Eng., P. Eng., co-founder of CCI, continues to coach CEOs, executives and those seeking career improvements. He was previously a co-founder and CEO of an e-learning company and founder of other high technology enterprises. As the President of the SPS division of a $1 billion company, Bill established his information technology company in Ottawa, Toronto, Halifax, Seattle and Guadalajara, Mexico. He sold it in 1996. Earlier, as a design engineer, Bill was responsible for a number of inventions in the radar field and spent his early career with the Guided Missiles Range Division of Pan American Airways, under contract to NASA, launching 200 scientific rockets per year into the upper atmosphere. Bill speaks Spanish in addition to English.
Ricardo Gomez, Senior Career Coach
Ricardo brings a broad management, engineering, communications, negotiation skills, and corporate social responsibility practice background to the career-coaching forum. With 10 years as a development leader of a major nickel mine and smelter in Colombia his focus was on engineering, monitoring, international negotiations and community affairs. Also in Colombia, he spent 7 years as President and CEO of a former nickel mine and smelter responsible for managing construction, start up and operations during a time of high conflict. To his role as the President of major cement corporation for two years, he adds his 15 years experience as independent consultant with emphasis in project management and corporate leadership. A graduate engineer in metallurgy and mining engineering from the University of Toronto, he is fluent in English and Spanish. Ricardo Gomez’ career coaching experience spans two years.
Sylvia Goodeve, Senior Career Coach
Sylvia Goodeve, is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) accredited by
the International Coach Federation. A Bachelor of Mathematics and Honours in
Computer Science from the University of Waterloo led Sylvia into the informatics field
for Deloitte & Touche, the Export Development Corporation, OmniMark Technologies, Stentor and MD Management. Then a career transition led Sylvia
into assisting others in their career transition and graduating from Coach U and engaging in CCIâs intensive coaches coaching program.
Sylvia brings her leadership, management, facilitation and coaching skills to her role as a Senior Career Coach at CCI.
Caroline Hannah, Senior Career Coach
Beginning with a
Bachelor's
degree in Psychology and Labour Studies from McMaster University, this Shawinigan QC native devoted 20 years to business with corporations such as Dupont Canada, Lilly Industries in
Mexico, MBNA Bank and United Way
in Ottawa in the role of Assistant Vice President. As a Dale Carnegie business coach she mentored employees and teams from various Federal Departments and business corporations. At CCI, Caroline's key relationship management and coaching experience contribute significantly to client's career search and advancement efforts.
Arthur Karp , Senior Career Coach
Arthur has over 20 years experience in counselling, coaching and training in both the public and private sectors. As a senior career counsellor with Health Canada, he advised, coached and trained others in fulfilling the HR mandate for the delivery of career management. His direct involvement as a career coach and trainer with Health Canada had him guiding employees on a one-to-one basis and in a seminar format toward responsibly taking control and advancing themselves. this ranged from entry admin through to professional, mid-management, and executive level. Arthur designed and delivered seminars on change management, transition, retirement preparation, and career planning. He brings a collaborative approach in his coaching towards helping his clients tap their full potential.
Joan Howe, Senior Career Coach
Since earning an Honours BA and MA in English from the University of Guelph, Joan has spent more than 15 years as a technical writer and as a Verbatim Reporter, creating quality documentation with organizations such as Alcatel, Mitel and General Dynamics. Her career has included stints working as an English teacher at Jilin University in China, in Chiapas, Mexico, and in Canada. More recently, as a Senior Career Coach at CCI, Joan has turned her attention to working one-on-one with individuals to help clearly organize their thoughts and words.
